Parish Music Ministry

The St Francis of Assisi Ohariu, Parish Music Ministry works to ensure that all Masses and liturgies are covered musically, by building relationships with musicians throughout the Parish community. We aim to include musical settings and hymns that reflect the diversity of our Parish. 

We aim to achieve this by:

• Encouraging congregational liturgy in prayer through song
• Emphasising themes of liturgy by choosing appropriate music
• Leading the singing and encouraging congregational participation
• Increasing the musical repertoire
• Participating in ecumenical celebrations e.g. Christmas.

We welcome interest in music ministry.
